abyme — orbit, recursively: real-time 3D vibedemo in 27 KB (27,424 bytes)

orbit, nested inside itself: each chrome sphere carries six satellites that are scaled-down copies of the whole system. Light bounces three to five times between the spheres, and the camera dives endlessly from one satellite into the next. Techno at 140 BPM in A minor, 2:00. This is not an animated film: it is a 27 KB (27,424 bytes) Linux program that computes everything while it runs. There is no video, no texture, no 3D model and no audio file. The scenery is made of mathematical formulas drawn with raymarching in OpenGL shaders, and the music is synthesized by the program itself at startup. Every movement is locked to the music, so the demo plays exactly the same every time. Sequel to "orbit". Rendered frame by frame from the program, 1080p at 60 fps. https://git.coopix.eu/public/demo_test
