The nested worlds of "abyme", above an ocean of mercury, under a nebula and a ringed gas giant. Satellites nest inside each other endlessly and reflect one another. Their panels are brushed chrome, gold or anodized metal with portholes, and every kick drum sends waves across the mercury. Techno at 140 BPM in A minor, 2:00. This is not an animated film: it is a 35 KB (35,616 bytes) Linux program that computes everything while it runs. There is no video, no texture, no 3D model and no audio file. The scenery is made of mathematical formulas drawn with raymarching in OpenGL shaders, and the music is synthesized by the program itself at startup. Every movement is locked to the music, so the demo plays exactly the same every time. Rendered frame by frame from the program, 1080p at 60 fps. The same demo also runs on an Amiga 500: see "vertige (Amiga 500)" on this channel. https://git.coopix.eu/public/demo_test
